Leaflets on local attractions are available in the cottage
but there is so much more to see and do.

For the walkers' amongst you there are many different routes to take,
suiting all abilities and taking in some beautiful scenerey on the way.

For those who like a bit of "retail therapy" we have a wide variety of places to visit.

Louth, our nearest town is a lovely traditional market town
with many kinds of independently owned shops.

There you will be able to buy traditional Lincolnshire food and a great deal more.

Grimsby, in the opposite direction has a large shopping centre with all the usual chain-store brands.

For those ardent antique and collectable hunters, visit Hemswell Antique Centre.

This used to be an RAF camp and many of the buildings have
been converted as antique and collectable outlets.

Give yourselves plenty of time as there is a lot to see.

There are several places to eat and ample parking space; but can get quite busy at weekends.

The historic city of Lincoln is well worth a visit, with the Castle, Cathedral and Museum,
not to mention the many shops in the high street.

We also have a local railway at Ludborough, which is manned by volunteers
who frequently have railway trips on what remains of the original line.

Seal watching in late November through December is very popular and the seal colony
at Donna Nook is only a matter of 6 miles or so from the cottage.

We have a great variety of birds here, which is increased during the winter migration.

Covenham reservoir is only a few minutes away and parking is provided for visitors.

There are steps up the side of the reservoir bank to the top and visitors can then take
a leisurely walk around the reservoir to see if something rare has landed there.

Hubbard's Hill on the outskirts of Louth is a local beauty spot and the Lincolnshire Wolds,
(which is an area of outstanding natural beauty) which has breathtaking views.
